Holding a Ph.D. in Law, he was awarded an international mobility doctoral fellowship by the CNRS to conduct research on the codification of civil law in Myanmar. He also contributed to the academic project on the harmonization of contract law in Asia.
As an associate researcher at IRASEC (CNRS-MEAE), his current work focuses on the development of law in Myanmar and Vietnam.
Rémi Nguyen is the founder of Myanmar Law Library, a platform dedicated to providing access to and promoting knowledge of Myanmar law. He also founded MLR Advisory, a consulting firm specializing in risk advisory, compliance, public affairs, and business intelligence.
In parallel with his professional activities, he serves as a French Foreign Trade Advisor (Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de la France), actively contributing to the development of economic ties between France and Southeast Asia.
Rémi Nguyen’s expertise covers investment law, corporate law, contract law, and international law, enabling him to advise clients across a wide range of legal and transactional matters, both locally and internationally.
He is fluent in French and English, with working knowledge of Vietnamese and Thai, allowing him to operate effectively in diverse legal and business environments.
